Hello,
I'm Alan Chmielewski

And I'm running for the Conshohocken Borough Council in Ward 1.

Years experience managing major projects

I live on Tessa Lane along with my wife Colleen here in Ward 1, and we’ve seen what growth looks like.

When we walk through the neighborhood, we hear our neighbors talk about the very same issues my wife and I also care about: parking, taxes, traffic and open space. As your Borough Council member, I will commit to listening to the concerns of the residents of Conshohocken. Communication is the key to creating the community that we all deserve.

I’ve spent the last 16 years in the Commercial Construction industry managing major projects, improving the growth and expansion of companies and leading teams to better performance. I am proud to employ Union labor and I’ve built relationships with some of the most important companies in our region. I will bring this expertise to Borough Council.

As a member of the Conshohocken Zoning Board for the past two years, I’ve seen first-hand how our local ordinances need to be updated to better suit our community. In addition, my position as the President of my Home Owner’s Association gives me the opportunity to engage with my neighbors and help them address whatever concerns they may have.

In my Free Time

I enjoy cooking for my family, traveling and coaching. I have recently started volunteering as the head coach for an All-Abilities Rugby team based in Delaware County, a concept developed specifically for our special needs community.

I believe strongly in the progressive principles of inclusion and improvement through community involvement.

I will apply these skills and work hard to benefit all of Conshohocken’s residents as our next Ward 1 council member.
